About Us
Tignish Co-op is a member owned and controlled retail co-operative, located and serving our communities in western Prince Edward Island. Seasoned by the hard work of our founding directors, we continue to serve our members since 1943. A diverse retail conglomerate providing retail food, furniture, fuel and hardware, we strive to be a leader in our region.
Community 50/50
One of the greatest strengths of a Co-op, is the membership it represents, and the communities we serve. The Tignish Co-op Community 50/50 Program is a member funded program that helps our community directly. A weekly draw is made, and if the winning member has paid their entry, they win half of the funds collected for that week, and it accumulates if no winner on any given week. The remaining half is then distributed to qualifying community causes and organizations to support community well-being and development.
